Meetings announced; nominations now open for all-state basketball

The meeting dates and times have been announced for the upcoming IPSWA girls and boys all-state basketball teams.

Additionally, nominations are now being taken from all sports writers, high school varsity coaches and high school athletic directors. The forms are located below. They are password protected. The password can be obtained by emailing iowasportswriters@gmail.com.

Please do not distribute this information to anyone who is not a sports writer, coach or athletic director.

Boys nominations are due March 8 at 5 p.m. CT. Make nominations at https://iowasportswriters.com/2023-ipswa-boys-basketball-nominations/

Players not nominated before the deadline can still be nominated during the meeting by any IPSWA members or coaches that are present.

Selection meetings will be held at Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines, IA in the media work rooms. Meetings are open to all high school varsity coaches and paid IPSWA member sports writers. For information on how to become a member, visit https://iowasportswriters.com/become-a-member/.

The girls selection meeting will be held on Saturday, March 4 at 9 a.m.

The boys selection meeting will be held on Friday, March 10 at 8:30 a.m.

To attempt to make accessing the arena as smoothly as possible, we are hoping to provide a list of names to security to allow entry. Please RSVP using this link or clicking a button below, even if you’re not certain you will be able to attend.
